Recently, a dear friend of mine, introduced me to a one-man band called “Statistics”. It is a completely solo project by multi-instrumentalist Denver Dalley. It is an amazing mix of emo, electronic and alt-rock music, mixing all my favorite genres in a beautiful symphony.
The first time I listened to the album “Often Lie”, I was awash with the feeling of nostalgia, even though I never heard this artist before. This album is a self-referencing journey (track “at the end”), beginning with the artist’s farewell (“final broadcast”), as this album was his last at the time, at least until 2013 and the album “Peninsula”.
This music makes me happy. I’ve been playing it on repeat for the past few days. Check it out!
